Intelligent Design
Our DNA is something to behold. The smallest insect on this planet contains within itself, millions of living cells. The human body is made up of at least seventy-five trillion cells. Each cell is a world of its own. It is complex. The individual cell has an amazing 200 trillion tiny groups of atoms. These are protein molecules. The largest molecule is what we call DNA. The Creator is God Himself. KJV translation of the Gospel of John tells us in verses one through five the following: 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in the darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
The atoms, these protein molecules, were manifested by The Word. The expanse of the universe fills us with wonders and amazement at His Creation and Who He Is. Imagine the disciples and their witness of having been followers of The Word. John wrote in 1st John verse one: That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon and our hands have handled of The Word of Life. In the Gospel of John, chapter one, verse 14: And The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His Glory, the Glory of the Only Begotten of the Father, full of Grace and Truth.
I often think of the excitement and the wonderment of the disciples having been witnesses to the Living Word and His Intelligent Design. Our genetic code is written in that large molecule we call DNA. The DNA strand in that one cell, measures six feet in length when stretched out. Combine this one strand with all of the strands in the human body, then it would stretch from the earth to the sun and back at least 400 times. And here they were, following Him. He created them. He created us. He created you, and He created me. Seventy-five trillion cells in each one of us. Humbling.
